I made the red panda using embroidery thread. I crocheted it twice - once sitting in a hoop earring, and once as a simple necklace pendant.
Hoop Earring
For this version, I sewed the legs on so that the hoop sits between the body and the legs. Then I attached the arms and stitched the hands to the hoop with a couple of stitches. It gives the look of the panda sitting on a swing.
Necklace Pendant
Here, I added a small loop to the top of the head (through two stitched into Round 1). You can place the arms however you like. The pose of my pendant actually happened by accident - after sewing on the arms, they curled up naturally into the position they're in now. We liked it so much that I decided to leave it that way. I just secured the hands with one or two stitches to hold them in place.
